today was Brussels sprouts & bacon day! =)

*** I had my breakfast quite early because I had an f/u appointment with my gastro-enterologist… was prescribed another type of antiobiotics (Flagyl) to take for the next 7 days to try to eradicate this parasite that is still causing symptoms… we’ll see how it goes, I don’t like antibiotics but I don’t have other option at this point. Meanwhile, I’ll continue to eat my daily dose of raw organic sauerkraut & take my yeast probiotics Floractive (known as Florastor in the USA).

:: 8am: sauerkraut + 2 free-range hard-boiled eggs + free-range bacon

:: 12h30pm: grass-fed beef  + onions + Brussels sprouts + turnips

:: 9am: sauerkraut + silverbeet frittata (equivalent of 2 free-range eggs)

:: 12h30: mesclun + free-range chicken + avocado + sun-dried tomatoes + balsamic vinegar + avocado oil + 2 cherry tomatoes

:: 3pm: 2 free-range eggs + gluten-free tamari sauce

:: 5h30pm: meat loaf (free-range Otway pork + spinach + tomato paste + seasonings) + green beans + coconut oil + avocado

*** today was difficult! After eating more carbohydrates than usual last weekend (because of the gluten-free bread and pancakes I was served at the B&B), eating cheese and drinking wine, I had awful cravings today and am happy to be back to my routine and healthy foods! =)

day 3

:: 10h30am: 2 free-range eggs + 1/2 cup homemade sauerkraut

:: 12h30: grass-fed ground beef + mushrooms + tomatoes + onions + olive oil + coconut butter + red wine vinegar + oregano + basil + pepper + salt with green beans + 1/2 small avocado

:: 3pm: about a cup of leftover green beans cooked in coconut butter

:: 5h45pm: grass-fed beef + red wine + onions + Brussels sprouts + turnips + coconut butter

:: 6pm: 20 g dark chocolate sprinkled with organic raw cocoa nibs

day 2

:: 9h30am: silverbeet frittata (or about 2 free-range eggs) + 1/4 avocado + 1/2 cup homemade sauerkraut

:: 1pm: big free-range chicken and avocado salad + organic sun-dried tomatoes + homemade mayo (made with 1/2 macadamia oil + 1/2 avocado oil)

:: 5h15pm: a 2nd serving of sauerkraut cupcake + spaghetti on zucchini pasta! [grass-fed ground beef + mushrooms + tomatoes + onions + zucchini + olive oil + coconut butter + red wine vinegar + oregano + basil + pepper + salt]

:: 5h30pm: 20 g dark chocolate sprinkled with organic raw cocoa nibs

day 1

:: 9h30am: silverbeet frittata (I had the equivalent of 2 free-range eggs) + 1/4 avocado + 1/2 cup homemade sauerkraut (which I always have about 5-10 minutes before eating the rest of my breakfast)

:: 1pm: free-range chicken leg with turmeric + red curry + broccoli + red bell pepper

:: 6pm: grass-fed beef + mushrooms + mesclun + balsamic vinegar + organic sun-dried tomatoes

:: 6h30pm: 4 squares (20 g or about 100 calories) dark chocolate with a little bit of organic raw cocoa nibs *** since I am doing this new 30-day challenge sans coconut products, with the exception of coconut oil, and sans nuts (to which I believe I currently have a hypersensitivity due to the damages caused by my lovely parasite friend), I will allow myself to have dark chocolate! 😉 I will re-evaluate my progress in a couple of weeks to see whether it seems to be causing problems or not.
